Declaring Independence Then and Now

Celebrate the 4th of July with Lexington Historical Society as we present a special evening event:

  • A performance by the Lexington Historical Society Colonial Singers
  • “Declaring Independence Then and Now”, a dramatic reading of how our communities read and responded to the Declaration of Independence, read by local costumed reenactors and narrated by Dr. William Fowler, Professor of History at Northeastern University
  • A response by Col. Francis Smith of His Majesty's army
  • Ice cream
